#1 Pink Stream
by Craig Kriser
Nice subject, good use of diagonal. There are some hot spots on the flowers
and rocks, as well as some blurring around the edges.

#2 Royal Palm
by Dawn Hulet
Nice techniques, including exposure and focus. The impact is a little
weak. Different cropping might help a tad.

#3 Young Actor
by Marilyn Frenkel
Interesting image with reasonable composition and color. Some thought the
child too centered, and some thought the image was a bit soft and/or grainy.

#4 Strollers in Reflection
by Joe Colavita
A creative take. SOme thought the impact was a bit low. They wanted a better
reflection, the reflection cropped right where the sky reflection begins, and/or
losing more area right above the stone wall.

#5 Out of Darkness
by Ken Barrett
A nice solid image with good colors, contrast, and use of threes to tell a
story. Some felt the impact might be better with a tighter crop.

#6 Canadian Rockies
by Ken Barrett
A Nice landscape shot. For the conditions, this is about as good as you could
get, but the light is flat and the impact a little weak.

#7 Dry Wash
by Maris Engle
A Nice concept, with something soft laying on so hard a bed. The light is a
little flat, the rocks a little bright, and the scene looks too structured.

#8 Balanche
by Marilyn Frenkel
A nice job a stopping the actions at the right spot. Man's legs blend in with
the background. A tighter crop might help the impact.

#9 Antelope Canyon
by Maris Engle
A nice image. It's a little washed out, but creative is the big word with such
a often photographed image and perspective.

#10 First Breath
by Elle Kriser
Nice saturation giving rich colors and interesting ones on the leaves. The
flowers look a little soft, but the composition is where the impact is hurt more,
especially with cropping and around the borders.

#11 Heron Reflection
by Dawn Hulet
A Nice portrait and creative reflection. The reeds/nest is a little hot, and
some thought the reflection a bit confusing.

#12 Picnic Time
by Craig Kriser
A Good quiet mood shot. Some thought more foreground was needed, while others
didn't like all the sky, perhaps cropping just above the cloud bank to eliminate
the top third.

#13 Pink Canopy
by Elle Kriser
Nice colors with a painterly feel, especially around the ground. Foreground pink
petals were a little distracting. As long as you're photoshopping, remove the
first 2 poles ( at least) that are down the middle.

#14 Tropical Smile
by Joe Colavita
Nice techniques, with good focus, exposure and non distracting background. The
subject needs a more noticeable catchlight, and some wanted a tighter crop, at
least toward the bottom to lose as much of the blouse as you can.
